SDM-CD16D

Campbell

The SDM-CD16D increases the number of digital outputs that can be controlled (i.e., set to 0 or 5 Vdc) by a Campbell datalogger.

The SDM-CD16D is commonly used to drive normal logic level inputs. It can also source some current; when an output is set HI, a ‘boost’ circuit allows the SDM-CD16D to source a current of up to 100 mA, which allows it to directly control low voltage valves, relays, etc.

Features

Replaces the SDM-CD16
Intended for low voltage, low power applications not suitable for the SDM-CD16AC
Drives normal logic level inputs
Directly controls low voltage valves, relays, etc.
Complies with EN55022-1:1988 and EN50082-1:1988
Designed and manufactured by Campbell Scientific Ltd (UK)

Specifications

Operating Voltage: 9 to 18 Vdc
Current Drain: 100 µA typical (all ports HI, no load)
EMC Status: Complies with EN55022-1:1998
and EN50082-1:1998
Output Voltage (no load): Output ON/HI, nominal 5 V (minimum 4.5 V)
Output OFF/LO: Nominal 0 V (maximum 0.1 V)
